Generally speaking, it is located in Southern Asia.
Where is Nepal exactly? If you’d like to be extremely specific, it is located between 80 degree 12' east longitude and 26 degree 22' and 30 degree 27' north latitude. Nepal is a landlocked country that shares borders with the Tibet Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China to the north. In addition, it shares an eastern border with Sikkim and West Bengal of the Indian Union, a southern border with the Indian States of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, and is neighbored to the west by Uttar Pradesh of Indian Union.
Nepal boasts one of the absolute most diverse geographical make-ups in the world. Its geography is most commonly divided into three major areas. These three major areas consist of the Himalayan Region, the Mountain Region, and the Terai Region. Much of these regions were formed because of Nepal’s major rivers.
Chances are you have probably heard of the Himalayas. This region houses one of the most popular and well-known summits in the world—Mt. Everest. The Himalayan region ranges from 4,877 meters to 8,848 meters, containing eight of the 14 summits in the world that reach over 8,000 meters!
Making for an extremely stark contrast, you can visit the southern lowland plains bordering India. This makes up the Teria Region and features a hot and humid climate.
