Poon Hill Hot Spring Trek
Poon Hill hot spring trek is a relatively easy walk meandering through villages and rhododendron forests. This invigorating trek reveals some of the best views of the Himalayas and is considered by many as thebest viewpoint in the Annapurna region. Reaching a maximum altitude of 3210m, the completion of this trek will be comfortable for everybody with their physical fitness. The trek begins from Nayapool village which can be reached after a short drive from Pokhara.Walking towards Bhurungdikhola you will cross some villages with theirs mix cultures, lifestyle and traditions. While you will have a chance to see massive South Annapurna (7119m) from Ulleri village, traveling along to Ghorepani, and marvel at colorful orchids, Rhododendron forest andHimalayan bamboo. Viewing from Poon Hill (3210m) is a reward in itself. You will not imagine the magnificence of the sunrise that you will witness from here, which illuminates the peaks of the entire range, leaving you spellbound. The added presence of rice terraces makes it a photographer paradise. A walk down hill will bring you to Ghinudanda via Tadapani, Ghandrukafter reaching Jhinudanda (1750m), relax at natural hot spring.

Day01: Arrival in Kathmandu [1300 m/4264 ft]
Upon your arrival in the Kathmandu airport you will be greeted by a representative from Nepal Travelling Tours & Trekking. After completing your custom formalities (Visa etc.),please pick up your luggage and look for our representative with a Nepal Travelling Tours & Trekking display board at the arrival gate. You will be then transferred to a hotel in Kathmandu.
Day02: Kathmandu: Sightseeing and Trek Preparation
Today after breakfast, we start a guided tour to several of the most historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu. Some of these landmarks are considered World Heritage Sites including the historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupati Nath, the famous 'Monkey Temple' (Swayambhunath) and Buddhists shrine (Buddha Nath) which is one of the largest Stupas in the world. In the afternoon, there will be a pre-trip discussion where we can meet our trek leader and other team members.Nepal Travelling Tours & Trekking briefs us regarding our trek as well as provides us the opportunity to ask any questions we may have regarding our upcoming adventure.
Day03:Drive to Pokhara (900m)7 hrs by tourist bus or (25min by air)
Pokhara is a beautiful valley town, with panoramic views of Annurpurna, Machapuchare, and Dhaulagiri in the west, Lamjung Himal and Manaslu in the east. The town of Pokhara is considerably less hectic than Kathmandu and is the starting point of your trek. Explore beautiful Phewa Lake, known for its tranquility and perfect picture postcards, or visit Devi Falls, a minor waterfall named after a tourist that fell inside. Overnight in a hotel in Pokhara.
Day04:Trek to Tikhedhunga(1575m) 1 and half hrs drive to Nayapool
After the drive we will walk through the desire green valley of Modi Khola until Birethati where we will show our Trekking permit and Tims card in the Annapurna Conservation Area project Office. We will walk through many different village, at some point we have to walk through the Jungle as well before reach in Tikhedhunga. Overnight at a guesthouse.
Day05: Trek to Ghorepani(2850m):
A gentle climb through pasture and cultivated Barley and Millet fields. As you climb up you walk up besides the cascading river through refreshingly cool oak and rhododendron forest you will have a good view of Annapurna South from Ulleri.
Day06: Trek to Tadapani(2650m)
Early morning one hour hike to poon hill for Fantastic sunrise view. From here we will have sunrise view along with a superb view of the Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I, Machapuchre (Holy mountain) Himchuli, Nilgiri and South Annapurna. Back to guesthouse for breakfast. Then we will walk five and half hours to reach the wonderful village of Tadapani. Overnight at a guesthouse.
Day07: Trek to Ghandruk(2150m)
Today we pass the Tadapani village, down walk to the rich rhododendron forest and about an hour fully forest walking, we reach Bhaise Kharka with its few teahouses for tea or coffee, then again down hill to the Ghandruk village for lunch, after few hours walk through the forest. Finally we reach the largest Gurung (popular ethnic group from western region of Nepal) settlement in the area with the closest views of Annapurna and Machhapuchre to the north. In the evening exploring the local village and people with traditional dresses.Overnight at a guesthouse.
Day08: Trek to Hot spring , Jhinu danda (1750m)
After having breakfast we are steeply going downhill to the hot spring. On the way we will encounter local people, walking through tiny villages, small rivers, rice andpotatoe fields and landslide before reaching the hot spring. Overnight at a guesthouse.
Day09:Trek to Nayapul (1010m) and drive to Pokhara
Today we are going to end our trek at Nayapul before a short drive back to Pokhara. Mostly downhill to Sauli bazaar and pretty flat to Nayapul, you can see farming terraces and local life style. We arrive in Nayapul where our private vehicle will drive us back to Pokhara. Overnight in a Pokhara hotel.
Day10:Drive back to Kathmandu,7 hrs by tourist bus or (25min by air )
This morning, we depart at approximately 7.30am for Kathmandu by tourist bus. Lunch is provided along the way and we arrive back in Kathmandu at around 2-3.00pm. The rest of the afternoon is free and shopping .In the evening celebrate dinner together with Nepal Travelling Tours & Trekking staffs.Overnight at at a hotel.
Days11:A representative will transfer you to the International airport, flight to your home.
