Helambhu Trek
Helambu trek covers the diverse range of brilliant green valleys, hazy rhododendron forests, and distant horizons of snowy peaks and the vivid contrast of Hindu and Tibetan Buddhist cultures. The Helambu trek is the ideal short trek and this Helambu region remains relatively un-spoilt. Here in Helembu you will experience the yolmo culture of high mountains villages, marvel at vistas of lonely high mountains and watch enthralled as the farmers toil in the fields using hand made tools and teams of water buffalo. Helambu valley trek noted for its scenic greatness and pleasant climate, lie in the north of the Kathmandu Valley. In Helambu one can stay in highland monastery villages and small settlements in perfect forests.
The most accessible of all trekking regions, Helambu offers a low elevation, distinctly enjoyable walk. In Tamang & Sherpa villages meet friendly and hospitable people with strong family and cultural ties. Helambu provides an instant Himalayan trek for those with limited time. This trek is an easy and enjoyable trip conducted at the average altitude of 3500m. The trek takes you through Thadepati to Tarke Gyang, where a choice of trails opens up. However we go along the south ridge through Sermathang, down to the river at Melamchi, the site of a mega project to bring drinking water to Kathmandu via a series of tunnels. The Helambu trek concludes with a drive down to Kathmandu.

Day01: Arrival in Kathmandu [1300 m/4264 ft]
Upon your arrival in the Kathmandu airport you will be greeted by a representative from Nepal Travelling Tours & Trekking. After completing your custom formalities (Visa, etc) pick up your luggage and look for our representative with a Nepal Travelling Tours & Trekking display board at the arrival gate. You will be thentransferred to Hotel in Kathmandu.
Day02 Kathmandu: Sightseeing and Trek Preparation
Today after breakfast, we start a guided tour to several of the most historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu. Some of theselandmarks are considered World Heritage Sites including the historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupati Nath, the famous Monkey Temple' (Swayambhunath) and Buddhists shrine (Buddha Nath) which is one of the largest Stupas in the world. In the afternoon, there will be a pre-trip discussion where we can meet our trek leader and other team members.Nepal Travelling Tours & Trekking briefs us regarding our trek as well as provides us opportunity to ask any questions we may have regarding our upcoming adventure.
Day 03:Kathmandu to Chisapani(2300m)
from sundarijal trail commence uphill concrete steps beside the alpine that bring drinking water down to valley.eventually the trail leaves alpine near the dam and reaches Mulkharka.There are superb view back over the valley and some tea house on the pass for refreshment. The trail continues to climb but less steeply to chisapani. Mountain view in the morning can be seen very clearly.
Day 04:Trek to Gul bhanjyang(1770m)
After the breakfast the trail heads down to pati bhanjyang, where we will see police checkpoint and some tea house. We will keep walking through chipling and climb again to reach pass before desceding a forested ridge to Thodang betini. A large chorten overlooking Tamang village of Gul bhanjyang. Here is the many tea house for comfortable stay.
Day 05:Trek to tharepati(3640m)
The trail climb another pass and down hill to kutumsang. Here we will show our trekking permit in the langtang national park office.the trail follows the ariseline with view of langtang and Gosaikunda peak we will walk through thick forested to magen goth before reaching the Tarepati. Overnight at tea house.Day 06:Trek to Melamchigaon(2530m) After breakfast we will turn east and descends rapidly down a ravine large Sherpa village.here are the many teahouse and brightly painted monasteries.
Day 07:Trek to treke gyang(2590m)
we will continues drop to crossing melamchikhola by bridge then making the long climb to another side of the tarke gyang. This is the largest village in the Helambu Region.
Day 08:Trek to Kiul(1280m)
passing through of Sherpa village we will be in Kakani and Thimbu. We will enter the Rice growing place of Melamchi and indrawati valley. The steep descent continues to Kiul village here is the elevation below then Kathmandu.Day 09:Trek to Patibhanjyang(1770m)
After morning breakfast we will descends along the river crossing suspension bridge then we will follow to Talmarang khola. From here trail ridge to Pati bhanjyang, where Helambu circuit is completed.
Day 10:Trek back to Sundarijal Drive to Kathmandu you will be met and taken to your hotel
Rest of the is free and shopping .in the evening celebrate dinner together with Nepal Travelling Tours & Trekking staffs.Overnight at hotel.Day11:Representative will transfer to International airport flight to your Home.
